Job title: Marketing and Client Executive

Reports to: Head Client Service and Business Development

Grade level: SA

Supervises: Trainee


Job Summary:


He or she is responsible for growing the organization’s revenue base by increasing the current client base and encouraging repeat business from current clients by ensuring excellent project delivery at all times.

Working with client partners to build relationships, advocacy & ROI for all Clients and the Company.

As the liaison between the Client and Company, He or She is expected to Interact clearly, constructively, and positively with all departments to ensure projects are completed effectively, efficiently and with minimal disruption.


Responsibilities and Duties:


Working closely with client’s/internal teams to influence and shape client’s goals, facilitate project performance, including suggesting the right solutions, and using data to tell a compelling story and drive clients to the most appropriate decisions / action.

  • Identifying and exploring new business opportunities within different sectors of the economy.

  • Support the creative department in concept development including interpretation of brief, brainstorming, concept ideation, the preparation of proposals, the pitching of concepts to prospective clients, and the firming up of concepts with costings and budgets.

  • Managing the successful activation, execution and completion of client projects; ensuring that the clients’ goals and requirements are exceeded, and that each project is completed on time and within budget.

  • Communicating with clients and all stakeholders, constantly, to keep them updated on the status of the project, including arranging and attending meetings, including on-site inspections and team meetings, and ensuring regular reports are prepared and shared in line with company’s policy.

  • Maintaining a cordial relationship with all clients’ representatives at all times.

  • Evaluating projects and identifying issues; and recommending opportunities to improve performance going forward.


Qualifications, Competency & Skills Required:


Effective/Engaging written and verbal communicator with active listening skills. Good command of English language grammar and syntax.

  • Emotional intelligence
  • Strong negotiation, project management, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

Minimum qualifications and years’ experience required/ Desirable qualifications and experience


  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a sales, relationship/stakeholder management and project management role with evidence of success.
  • Preferred experience to be in the Media or marketing communications’ industry.

  • Ability to liaise with staff at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Able to develop excellent working relationships both internally and externally.

Key Performance Indicators (pending provision of SMART KPIs):

  • Year on Year growth of billings from clients
  • Number of new clients introduced to the business.
  • Client’s satisfaction, retention and advocacy rates
  • Quality of work, delivery of the projects on time.

Location:

  • Lagos, Nigeria, and other locations as required.

Hours:

  • 08.30am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays plus other hours as required.
